seven down… one to go.

0.01 second.

The length of a fingernail.

That is what got Phelps his seventh gold medal of the games, not only matching Mark Spitz record of most medals in one game, but making Phelps the most decorated Olympian of all time.

Everyone thought Phelps placed second, including Phelps himself, and the look on his mother’s face when she realized he won gold was absolutely priceless.

Thank the heavens above for electronic scoring, because you literally had to squint your eyes to even try to see who touched first.

  1. Wait, how did you just physically measure a body part with time?

That’s brilliant. No one will ever know whether or not you’re lying about things size-wise.

    “How tall are you?”
“I’m like half an hour tall.”

“The biggest fish I caught today was 2 ft. long.”
“Yeah? Well mine was 40 seconds.”
“You’re so much better at fishing than me.”
    “I know.”

hahaha ok that really did make me laugh out loud.

basically all of the news reporters said he won by .01 seconds, then reviewed the footage and said he literally touched the wall with the tip of his finger.

IN OTHER WORDS that is how close it was.
    (:
